What is Ashkal?

Ashkal is a music festival celebrating unity in diversity. A fusion of culture and music with line-ups of international, independant artists. For the sheer pleasure and even musical education of all music enthusiasts in Egypt and the middle East.
Our aim to to go global with Ashkal, spreading this experience to people all around the world.

Where and when will Ashkal 2017 take place?

Uptown Cairo - Cairo, Egypt.
3rd of November, 2017.

Why should I attend Ashkal 2017?

- Diverse line-up of artists from Europe, the Middle East, North Africa and Egypt
- Fusion of Art & Culture at one event, not only is it a treat to music enthusiasts’ ears but also exposure to different genres of music and artists from around the world
- On ground activities and entertainment such as different food vendors and markets

What is the minimum age to attend Ashkal 2017?

- There is no minimum age to attend Ashkal.

- Anyone over the age of 12 will be required to purchase a ticket at full price.

Venue

The Ashkal 2017 venue is a custom built festival ground located at the Uptown Cairo Sales Center Courtyard.

When do I purchase my Ashkal tickets?

Tickets go on sale on the 13th of October 2017, and will remain on sale until November 3rd, unless quantities run out.

Is there a limit to the number of Ashkal tickets I can purchase?

No there is no limit to the number of tickets purchased at once.

How do I cancel my ticket?

- Tickets cannot be cancelled/refunded. All purchases are final.
- We strongly discourage to buy tickets from other people, as we cannot guarantee the validity of the ticket being sold. If the ticket appears to be altered in any way, the organization reserves the right to deny access (even with a mandate of the original owner).

DURING ASHKAL

Check-in/Re-entry?

- You can check-in to the festival grounds anytime during operating hours and will be allowed to leave and come back as you please.
- You must hold onto your ticket at all times. The only way to re-enter the festival is with your ticket.

Is there a doctor’s clinic at Ashkal?

Yes, a doctor and clinic are available on the festival grounds during all operational hours. There are hospitals close to the festival grounds too for cases that may need extra care. If you need to take prescribed medication due to health problems, you need to be in possession of a valid medical certificate. We can only allow these specific medications if you can present a valid medical certificate at the entrance.

Safety and Security

Security will be present on festival ground to maintain peace and handle any violations.
