Tinariwen

Tinariwen is a Grammy Award-winning group of Tuareg musicians from the Sahara Desert region of northern Mali. The band was formed in 1979 in Tamanrasset, Algeria, but returned to Mali after a cease-fire in the 1990s

OUM

Oum El Ghaït Benessahraoui أم الغيث بنت الصحراوي, known as Oum, born on 18 April 1978 in Casablanca, is a Moroccan singer-songwriter. Considered an ambassador of Moroccan culture, she mixes Hassani, jazz, gospel, soul, afrobeat and Sufi music influences in her songs.

Souad Massi

Souad Massi (سعاد ماسي), born August 23, 1972, is an Algerian Berber singer, songwriter and guitarist. She began her career performing in the Kabyle political rock band Atakor, before leaving the country following a series of death threats. In 1999, Massi performed at the Femmes d'Algerie concert in Paris, which led to a recording contract with Island Records.

47SOUL

47SOUL is an Electro Arabic Dabke (Shamstep) band formed in Amman Jordan in 2013. The members are rooted in Bilad Al-Sham, spanning the divides from Amman to the Galilee to Ramallah and the rest of the Palestinian Diaspora. This new sound of 47SOUL has rapidly amassed fans in the Arab World and Europe by blasting the electric Arabic Dabke sound through underground music scenes.

If we had to choose two words that portray our music, it’s AFRO EGYPTIAN—unique, boundless, and encompassing everything different and creative about where we live.

EL MORABBA3

The Jordan-based group was formed in 2009 as an Arab rock band. In July 2012 they released a debut album, titled El Morabba3 (The Square), afterward they gained huge popularity across the region.
In 2015 they released their public funding campaign for their newest album, Min Nifs El Nas. The band’s fan base throughout the Arab World and internationally has been steadily on the rise with every live performance. Most recently, they appeared in front of thousands of fans as part of a major musical competition called SoundClash.

DOKKAN

Dokkan is a Cairo-based experimental music project and the collective sound of musicians Tarek Al Azhary, Omar Magdy, Naeyr Osama and Mohamed Mallawany
